TPS1H100-Q1: large Capacitor load use case/VCL_th spec/transient thermal resistance

Part Number: TPS1H100-Q1

hello Team, I have misc questions

1   VCL_th doesn’t have min-max spec. Is the tolerance of VCL_th included in the dKCL/KCL?

2  I want to connect 820uF cap at output, and concerns startup issue due to this huge cap especially at high-temp such as 105C Ta. Could you tell me if there is any concerns?

3  There is no transient thermal resistance characteristics in the datasheet. Can you provide it?

4  what is typ-max of ICS,H(Current sense fault condition current? I need this to make sure that MCU input voltage below 3.3V.

  • Hello,

The accuracy of the current limit is captured in that dkCL/kCL spec.

It will depend on how much current you are limiting to go through the device? What is your RCL value?

Yes here is the transient thermal analysis

The TPS1H100 has an integrated clamp that will set the voltage to VCS,H which is typical 4.75. you will need to resistor divide the CS pin before going to a 3.3V MCU so that the voltage will be below your max for the ADC.
