Hi,

Could you please explain what is functionality of Ibatreg line in a functional block diagram in page 17.

I cannot find any details from the datasheet.

Could we read battery current from some register or is it only HW control line?

Hi Markku,

You are correct. The IBATREG is an internal feedback signal which is not made available outside. At precharge and CC mode, the battery current is what you have set to unless any faults have taken over.

Are you trying to measure current in CV mode?

We have the BQ25155 device which has this functionality.Would that be of interest to you?

Thanks for fast answer.

Actually we are looking for way to measure battery current because our current design doesn't have battery fuel gauge.

Do you have any BQ25120 kind of chip with integrated battery fuel gauge?

Hello Marku,

We have the BQ25155 which has an integrated ADC which allows you to measure the battery current. It is similar to the BQ25120 but doesn't have a DCDC converter.
