Hi Team,

Does BQ25890 have PMID short protection with VBUS in? If not, what would happen if it pull too much current(>3.2A) and how should we protect it?

    Will, 

    Pls refer to the internal block diagram on the BQ25890 datasheet, the internal FET Q1 has a body diode. There is no current limit from VBUS to PMID. You have to add external circuit for the protection of high current from VBUS if PMID is short to GND.
