I have an urgent request about LM317L

Could you address this subject ?

 

The other company has a description of thermal resistance with the following figure.

Can we provide same figure ?


Any advice will be appreciated,

    Hi Ikeda-san,

    Unfortunately, we do not have such a graph available at this time. We have been working on bringing on line a thermal calculator which will provide similar results, but this is only rolling out for the newer devices at this time. 

    The best way to compare thermal performance is with TJA. The LM317L from TI has the following:

    and competitor-san has the following:

    So given the same layout, the LM317L from TI should have better thermal performance. Here is a link to a very good application report on thermal performance vs. layout.
