Hi John,
Still unclear. I understand UVLO value for Vcc is 7.7V. I think the two lines of Figure1 here represent for connecting VCC with VIn directly and supplying VCC by internal regulator.
So ideally if I connect VCC with VIn and give Vin a voltage>8V, device should work. And maximum of the VCC is 16V. Therefore, when 8V <Vin < 16V, say 12V, it should work.
