LM5030: if Vin=12V, can this part works?

in datasheet, the recommended input voltage is >14V as below:

but here is another sentence:

so can LM5030 works when Vin=8~14V?

Please take a look at Figure 1 of the data sheet

With Vin = 8V , Vcc = 4V

The UVLO value for Vcc is 7.7V and so with Vin = 8V the LM5030 is disabled.

So the answer to your question is no. The IC will not operate with this input voltage range.

Hi John,

Still unclear. I understand UVLO value for Vcc is 7.7V. I think the two lines of Figure1 here represent for connecting VCC with VIn directly and supplying VCC by internal regulator.

So ideally if I connect VCC with VIn and give Vin a voltage>8V, device should work. And maximum of the VCC is 16V. Therefore, when 8V <Vin < 16V, say 12V, it should work.
