BQ24133: Which components are not necessary if don't use the power system?

Hi,

In this project, it is not necessary to power the system from the adapter, only from the battery.

So which of these components are not needed for the project? Like R14, Q3 ...?

Hi,

If system = battery, Q3 is not required. Also, Q1 is not required but it and Q2 do provide some protection against startup inrush current issues (probably not an issue since not connected to system) and overvoltage. If not used Q2 should be replaced by a diode to prevent reverse bias at input from battery through internal FET body at PVCC. If Q1 and Q2 are not used, R11 and R12 are not needed. If CMSRC and ACDRV are not used, connect CMSRC to ACN and leave ACDRV floating.

We have a switch that the battery is connect only on the system or on the charger.
For protection, I prefer keep with Q1 and Q2 (or a diode).
Without Q3, should I leave BATDRV floating?
