BQ25101: Battery can't be charged when battery is dead

Hi,

We use bq25101 and find a problem for the following condition.

1. PCM of battery is enabled by very low battery voltage.

2. Supply 5v to VBUS.

However, PCM of battery can't be disabled. Battery can't be charged.

Hey Paul,

The problem may be caused by a combination of low start up current when the battery voltage is 0V or a very low possible system load. This will prevent the voltage of the battery from increasing and resetting the PCM.

We have covered how to resolve low current at startup in this post. Please let me know if you need more help.

Issue is solved after setting higher charging current.
