Is there a reason VPWR is tied to RJ45 3/6 and PSE_N1 is tied to RJ45 1/2? I understand that with diode bridge on other side it doesn’t really matter. The 4-pair also doesn’t seem standard.
Thanks,
Michael

Hi Michael,
Based on IEEE802.3at standard, you can use either MDI-X or MDI for alternative A wiring. We just chose MDI-X for TPS23861EVM. The 4 pair ports were designed for UPoE high power applications.
As you may know, now IEEE802.3bt has been released to support 4 pair 90W. You can look at TPS23881EVM-008 if you ware interested. Thanks.
Best regards,
Penny
