numerical relay board

i am trying to do a research on new algorithm for numerical protection relay and for that i need a numerical relay to test the algorithm ,i would like to use a board from taxes instrument but when i searched on the website i never found a board that have all the features that i want , i found a several board and proposal to connecting them with interface ,, but my time is limited and i need a board that can run the algorithm ,, building the board will take time ,

i read this article on the website that suggest a design to build a numerical relay component by component ,, and due to my limited deadline time i cant build i numerical relay from zero the test the the algorthim i need a one board or two that can do this

i need it to have at least 7 simultaneously input as analog with DSP to process them simultaneously to do DFT

with and out but for the circuit breaker and it can connected to a communication board.

Thank you for considering TI, and welcome to E2E! The Application Report referenced above is a guide for designing a numerical protection relay. As you mentioned, there are some TI designs for elements of an NPR, however Texas Instruments does not sell this kind of finished product.

How soon do you need a solution to test your algorithm?

hey not yet what did you recommended to me i cant use it because the company has its own software with its own algorithm which is not open, so i have decided to build my own relay but not as TI design from zero starting from the electronics, i will choose and existing board and interface the with each other ,,, so i need at least 7 simultaneously analog input and a board can process them and do DFT for them and also with a output for the trip signal +also it can be interface with wifi/Ethernet for communication and taking information from the cloud, so do you have any recommendation on these boards that i can interface them with each other ?

Hi Mohamed,

To evaluate the 7 analog inputs simultaneously and process them, you can use designs like TIDA-00834 High Accuracy Analog Front End... with the ADS8588S EVM. We do not offer a board that easily connects to these for Ethernet and trip signal outputs, but sections of TIDEP0053 could be useful as a reference.
