Hi team,
I have some question about the sleep mode in LMR16010 and ECO-mode in other devices
1. What's the difference between the ECO-mode in other device and sleep mode in LMR16010?
2. According to the “Understanding ECO-MODE™ Operation” application note, why does the Eco-mode Threshold Output Current change by the Vin? I though that the Eco-mode Threshold Output Current is defined by the internal component which lock the Vcomp in ECO-mode.
3. According to the “Understanding ECO-MODE™ Operation” application note, the waveform of the ECO-MODE is shown as below. I don’t understand why the SW pin is opened and closed so many time. I think that the SW pin just need to be opened for once a cycle in the ECO-MODE. Could you explain the reason why the SW pin is opened and closed so many time in ECO-mode?
4. Could I explain the difference between the DCM mode and sleep mode like that?
Best Regards

Hi,
1. Sleep mode in LMR16010 might be similar with some other devices, but you still need to check their datasheets.
2. Actual COMP pin clamp voltage is not fixed due to some internal mechanisms, including Vin influence.
3. It depens on its loop, sometimes a single pulse is not enough to charge output capacitor.
4. Please keep in mind that it's the fact to describe but not the reason to explain them.
Thanks.
