LM5118: [LM5118]Soft Start setting

Hello

I have a question about the soft start settting in LM5118.

There is a bulk capacitor(over 2mF) in LM5118 output side for protecting the drop voltage.

In this case, Could you please tell me how long can the soft start be set in LM5118?

Could the soft start be set to 100ms?

    Hi Keisuke,

    Thank you for the interests in the LM5118.  If you want to set the SS time to 100ms, the calculated Css is 760nF:

     Css = 10.5uA x 100ms / (1.23V +0.15V)

    Where 0.15V is the SS to FB offset voltage.

    You also need to make sure the circuit will not hit the peak current limit by choosing an appropriate sense resistor, or the time can become longer.
