TPS65381A-Q1: Temperature characteristics of LBIST time

Part Number: TPS65381A-Q1

Hi,

The data sheet describes the following:

Could you tell me the variation data of LBIST execution time and room temperature variation data?
Customers want to know how much this time varies with temperature changes.

Best Regards,
Yusuke

  • Hi Yusuke,

The LBIST execution time has a dependency with the system operating frequency which can vary between 3.8MHz (min) to 4.2MHz(max) over ambient temperature TA = –40°C to the maximum-operating junction temperature TJ = 150°C.

For design purposes, I suggest the worst case scenario should be considered when calculating LBIST execution time (4.41 ms).

    Ivan

  • Hi-Ivan,

    Thank you for your support.
"For design purposes, I suggest the worst case scenario should be considered when calculating LBIST execution time (4.41 ms). "

We want to assume the worst case as you say.
Could you tell me the estimated time for the worst case?
The worst case considering temperature variation and frequency variation is 21 msec.
    Is this understanding correct?

    Best Regards,
    Yusuke

  • Hello Ivan,

Is there any updates about LBIST execution time information?
    Sorry for rushing you.
Customer wants LBIST execution time variation data for temperature changes.

    Best Regards,
    Yusuke

  • Hi Yusuke-san,

The execution time for BIST (ABIST and LBIST) which are provided in the datasheet of 21 msec is based on a 4MHz system clock frequency.

If you want to consider the worst case execution time you should assume system clock can drop to 3.8MHz which translate to total BIST execution time of 22.05 msec.

    Regards,
    Ivan
