Hello.
I use TPS2421-1 in my design.
This is my schematic
I use RSET = 40 kΩ
With this resistor the current limit_typ approximately is 5.5A for single chip connection and
for parallel mode connection is 11A.
When i measure the current in my board i have 5.6A for single chip connection and
the same value for parallel mode connection. I don't understand why.
Tell me pleasure:
1) Can i use parallel connection of two chip TPS2421-1 to increase the current limit?
2) Where is my mistake?
3) I don't understand why you recomended to use 1% accuracy of RSET but in this time we have the current limit change from (4.6 to 6.3)A [RSET = 49.9 kΩ]?
Hi Alex,
For this device architecture, you have to use individual RSET resistors. Please try that way.
Can you let me know your application details.
I suggest to use TPS25982 for your system specs.
