I am planning to use an other over-current sensing method than proposed in application notes. I am going to us an aux FET to switch the half-bridge node to the OC pin, when the lower FET is on, see the following schematic:
J3 goes to OC pin. Is D3 necessary, or there is built in diode (or zener diode) on OC pin?
I know I will need good timing, the aux FET wil have a very low Gate charge to ensure its fast turn off before Q3's turn off.
