UCC256404: Operating Frequency Range

Hi TI E2E ,

As we know ,the ucc256301 is Wide Operating Frequency Range(35 kHz to 1 MHz) . 

and if ucc256404 should work well in place of ucc256301 or not?

Shall I operate ucc25640x  Series LLC converter the  maximum resonant frequency at 500k ?

    Hello Xingyun,

    The UCC256402/3/4 devices are TI's new released LLC controller and they are improved compared to the UCC256301.  They are easier to design with and you can disable burst mode if you wish.  Which was not an option on the UCC256301.

    The frequency range of the UCC256402/3/4 device can be designed for 35 kHz to 1 MHz as well.  Since the frequency controls your duty cycle if you an input range of 2 to 1.  I would set the resonant frequency between 35 kHz to 300 kHz.  If your input range is narrow 500 kHz may be possible.
