TPS2493: Vprog inquiry

Part Number: TPS2493

Hi Team,

Would you advise below my customer question?

I would like to reduce the allowable power by lowering the VPROG voltage to 0.4V or less
due to the limitation of the external circuit, but the TSP2493 specifications recommend that
the PROG pin voltage be 0.4 to 4V.
I wanted to know what kind of trouble would occur if I lowered it to 0.4V or less.
Thanks
Best regards,
Shidara
  • Hi Shidara,

The power limit accuracy will be poor for PROG voltage < 0.4V, this may lead the system fail to startup when started in power limit mode.

Please suggest to test on their actual system and across the temperature.
