BQ40Z50: bqProduction SBB

Part Number: BQ40Z50
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQPRODUCTION

Hi,

I used HPA495 and bqproduction software for bq40z50.

Currently, I used for 4S battery pack. It is good for 4S application.

But I wonder how to use for 2S battery pack?

I don't have manual and cable connection for 2S battery application in HPA495.

Please give me information for using 2S application.

Thanks,

Best regards,

HJ

  • HI

There is no much difference for 2s test, as bqproduction only calibrate cell1, BAT and Pack voltage, you only need to connect Cell 1-, Cell1+, Cell2+ and Pack+ to your target board. Please refer to below document for details

  • Hi Steven.

    Thank you for your replying.

But it is big different about pack+ voltage.

    4S pack+ voltage is 14.8V.

    2S pack+ voltage is 7.2V

When connect 2S application, the pack+ is still 14.8V.

    My connection is below;

       [HPA495]             [2S board]

    1. CELL1- connect batt-

    2. CELL1+ connect 1st cell(3.6V)

    3. CELL2+ connect 2nd cell(7.2V)

    4. CELL3+ is not connected.

    5. CELL4+ is not connected.

    6. PACK+ connect 2nd cell(7.2V)

    7. PACK- connect pack-

    Is it right connection?

Which number write in pack voltage 14.8V or 7.2V?
