Hi team,

My customer wants to use the TPS53353 to do the condition below.

5V input or 12V input are ok. output 3.3v.

We are not sure whether the device can be used here or not. i have concerns about the duty cycle and EN pin. For EN voltage rise threshold is 1.8v, we may set the EN pin 2.2v for 5V, 5.28v for 12v. Could you please help double check whether it's ok? Thanks.

They also want to try TPS53319, could you please also double check this device too?

Hi Frank,

For TPS53353, I was able to create a WEBENCH design both at 5V input and 12V input , Vout =3.3V upto 20A. So, I dont see a duty cycle limitation.

The EN threshold is 1.8V. So a 2.2V is sufficient to turn on the device.

5.28V should also be ok. The abs max rating is 7V on the EN pin and recommended is to be below 6.5V. So 5.28V is below the 6.5V recommended voltage and should be ok.

TPS53319 is a 14A converter with a higher VIN voltage.

What is the Iout max for your application? Do you have any other design requirement?
