TPS65911: TPS65911AA2ZRCR

Part Number: TPS65911

Hello,

I am reading new datasheet revision  of absolute maximum ratings and I don't see any remark that indicate that PLLs  (AVDDA_DDRPLL, AVDDA_DSSPLL, AVDDA_MAINPLL ...) can have  overshoot 2.2V with condition of "overshoot period less than 100uS". It was just forgotten or are there any findings that it is not possible to have such overshoot?

Thank you for answer

Best Regards

Kamil Kazelle

  • Hi, Kamil,

We finally found that we can't change processor's specs; and from processor team, there is an e2e answer stated: DVDD18 must be within the +/- 5% when the device has been released from reset and is operating but the overshoot you described is during the power sequencing. Once the K2G is operating the power supply and the associated PDN for the DVDD18 rails should keep that voltage within the proper range for correct operation.

Please let's know in case you do find any issues caused by the overshoot.

  • Hi Phil,

Thanks for answer. Can we expect there will be some remark in datasheet that during the power sequencing power supply for PLLs can have overshoot 2.2V for less than 200us?

    Thanks for answer

    Best regards

    Kamil

  • Hi, Kamil,

We'll remark that when we have chance to revise the datasheet.
