BQ27542-G1: Sub mA current measurement

We are using BQ27542 and assume our PCB draws some leakage current.

Is it possible to measure sub mA currents with the fuel gauge without measuring the capacity between a long time difference?

Hello Mathis,

It is not possible to measure sub-mA current with the gas gauge. You could test out the Qpass accumulation, but the gauge algorithm will reset every five hours for OCV conditions on the Qpass.

Hi Kang

I cannot find a parameter Qpass in the documents. There is a self discharge current but this parameter starts at +3 to +9 mA and then decreases to about -60 mA when loading battery by about 3 to 4 mA with a 1 kOhm resistor for a few hours. What is the algorithm for self discharge current calculation?

I meant Passed Charge. In some of our products it shows up as Qpass. 0x34 and 0x35.
