BQ25601: Electronic control of QONn pin: How long is tshipmode?

Hi,

My application uses the QONn pin as an input to get the BQ25601 out of shipping mode.

The QONn pin is controlled by a sensor that is connected directly to the battery.

Q1) How long is tshipmode? I cannot find it in the datasheet.

Q2) If the sensor output remains low for a long period of time, will the reset of BATFET still occur if the BATFET_RST_EN bit is set to zero?

Hey Casper,

It should be somewhere between 0.9s and 1.3s.

The BQ25601D datasheet has a similar specification for tSHIPMODE that can be used for this device.

Thanks for pointing that out, that solves one of my questions!

I will try if the reset function can be avoided, perhaps you can say something about this?

Hey Casper,

Yes, disabling the BATFET_RST_EN bit will disable the system reset function; i.e. /QON held for a long time will have no impact.
