BQ34Z100: Difficulty in Obtaining Golden Image File

Hello Team,

 

My customer is trying to obtain Golden Image file for the said IC with 2s2p combination of Samsung ICR18650 -26J batteries. Following steps are taken by them:

 

As per the procedure

1. discharged the battery till FD is set,

2. relaxed for 2 hrs,

3. entered the command 41 and 21 ( VOK, QEN and Gauge_EN got Set) ,

4. charged till FC is set and

5. relax for 5hrs. 

 

Outcome: while relax VOK , FC got cleared and REST got set , but Qmax and PF status is not getting updated.

 

Can you let us know what can be the issue for the same ? Is their any issue with the said procedure ?

        In your case, when the battery is fully discharged, the battery has to be relaxed for 5 hours instead of 2 hours

        in 3rd step, you dont have to send 41 command to reset the device, 21 command would be OK

        And when the battery is fully charged, relax time can be only 2 hours

        once you see VOK clear, you can do following discharge cycle to update ra table.
