TPS23754: support 802.3az EEE Power saving?

Part Number: TPS23754

Hi Team,

My customer want  to know  if TPS23754 support 802.3az EEE Power saving?

Best regards,

Albert.

  • Hi User,

EEE is a mode that is part of the data side. The data packets will be sent more efficiently that saves overall power at standby modes. For example, in poe lighting like shown below, when LED ballast is OFF, the overall power consumption meets energy efficient standards. So from an end equipment design point of view, the direct EEE mode components will be the PHY and the micro. The indirect components will be the low IQ power converters that can minimize light load power consumption. If trying to get high light load efficiency, you should design with a diode flyback converter if using the TPS23754.
