CCS/BQ40Z60: the position of current sensor of FG BQ40Z60

Hi TI:

I noticed current sensor in FG is located in negative side of cell in typical application. Could I move it to positive side of cell? Is there any difference between them? Why does TI put it on the negative side of cell?

Hello Emma,

I would still recommend you move to the bq40z50-R3.

The current sense needs to be low side, this part cannot support high side. The high side current sense requires higher voltage tolerances on SRN and SRP.
