UCC21530: Gate driver output coming as zero volt

Part Number: UCC21530

Hello ,

I am trying to simulate a gate driver reference design of UCC21530 in LT spice. I have found the circuit on the forum page, but my output is coming zero. Please suggest. I am attaching both the files. first one is my schematic.

  • Hi Tushar,

Thanks for reaching out on e2e.

Responses from the appropriate engineer may be delayed due to the holidays.

Can you describe in more detail the output going to zero in your simulation testing?

Does this issue happen during steady-state or start-up conditions?

Can you send the simulation file for review?

    Thanks,

  • Thanks for your reply Jeff, I understand the holiday duration. I am not able to attach my simulation file, i have tried to do it before also , but as LT spice schematic is in .asc format . Attaching this file type showing me some error while posting my reply.

  • hello Jeff, my simulation is working fine now. What i did is when i off one of the input its working properly . But with both input on , even when i change DT resistor value from 1k to 1ook both output are low. can you tell me why ?

  • Hi Tushar,

That sounds like the proper operation of the DT circuit. When the DT circuit is used, it will prevent both outputs from being on at the same time. This is most commonly used to prevent shoot-through in a half-bridge circuit. If you need the outputs to be on at the same time, I recommend deactivating the DT circuit by shorting DT pin 6 to VCCI pin 3/8.

    Thanks and best regards,
