TPS650861: LS1046A supported?

Part Number: TPS650861
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CSD87352Q5D

Hi team,

TPS65086100 mainly supports LS1043A. However, according to the attached user guide, I see TPS65086100 also supports LS1046A with minor adjustment. What is the adjustment needed to support LS1046A? Thanks.

  • Hi Andy,

My understanding is that LS1046A is mostly a higher current version of LS1043A. It looks like the current for VDD increases to around 16A and the CSD87381 FET on BUCK1 is only recommended for use up to 15A. I would recommend changing that FET to CSD87352Q5D, which supports up to 25A. You may need to make a similar replacement for BUCK2/6 depending on the exact current requirements for your system.

I also found that depending on the specific LS1046A part number the VDD voltage can be either 1V or 0.9V. This voltage level would need to be confirmed before programming the device. If there are any other voltage or current requirement changes be sure to account for those as well.

    Best regards,
