We wants to know whether the 32K crystal (connected to TPS65941 pad 38/39) is necessary or not.

And what are the use cases we can imagine for this 32K timer?

For the PMIC TPS6594-Q1, the 32K timer is not mandatory; but if you're considering to use the whole TDA4 reference design, you may need answer from the team of TDA4 reference design. I'll reassign your question to the TDA4 team and close this thread.
