BQ40Z80: MOSFET specs

Hi Teams,

My customer is using bq40Z80 in their new project.

They found on the bq40Z80 EVM that CHG MOSFET VDS=40V, GSG MOSFET VDS=60V .

Why aren't the two MOSFET using the same specs?

Is it ok for my customer to use both 40V for their 6S BMS ?

It should be okay to use the same FET for both of them.

Do you know what the max continuous drain current will be in your customer's design?

i Andy,

For 18650 6S1P pack use, the bq40Z80 BMS continue discharge current below 3A.

Could you kindly help review the schematic?

Hello Jamie,

There is no particular reason we found. You should use matching FETs. Please refer to the bq40z50 design.
