UCD9081EVM: EVM not detected

Hello,

As with others the hardware is not detected, what I have triued thus far:

Update the firmware on the TI USB interface adaptor to 1.0.11

Set the bus speed to 100kHz

Disabled PEC

set pull ups to 2.2k

set pullup to open drain

restarted my pc (lots)

reinstalled the software

I still can't get this to work, any suggestions?

Hello

Is the LED on the USB-TO-GPIO Dongle on? Did you try different USB port at your PC? sometime disconnect and connect the cable may help.

Hello,

the LED (Green) is on on the USB-TO-GPIO dongle

I tried unplugging the adaptor several times.

Does EVM power up properly?

I would suggest the followings:

1. try different PC

2. try different USB port

3. make sure the USB-TO-GPIO dongle is functional.

4. Change the order to connect USB dongle(from both PC and board) and power the EVM?

5. Do you see any I2C transactions on the bus when you select the scan/detect UCD9081 from the GUI?

Hello,

I found the solution. If you download the installer from the UCD9081EVM page and install, that does not work, if you go to the UCD9081 IC page (http://www.ti.com/product/UCD9081) and select the

UCD9081 GUI Win 7

SLVC490

this does not require installing and actually works.

It seems like there is an issue with the installer/package on the EVM page.
