TPS65261: Using EN pin for delayed start-up

Hi team,

I got a question about delayed start-up for TPS65261. Can I use a small ceramic capacitor from the EN pin to ground (not use SS pin). Since I saw it on TPS65251's deatasheet. Does it also apply to TPS65261?

Hi Yang,

Yes. The TPS65261 also has pullup current. So you can add a small ceramic capacitor from EN pin to ground for a delayed start-up.

But we recommend to add a cap on SS pin. Otherwise, the inrush current will be large.

Hi Yang,

The soft start is used to minimize inrush currents which is the current to output, not on EN pin.
