BQ4050 Can't Update FCC&Max Error , For CEDV

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ4050

Hi, everybody:
Recently, I encountered a problem. When I used the BQ4050 fuel gauge, I modified my power and parameter configuration according to the GPC report parameters returned from TI's official website. The problem occurred: When I performed the fuel gauge learning two cycles in accordance with the standard learning steps, the FCC and Max Error would not be automatically updated, and always kept a fixed value and 100%. This caused a lot of trouble for my project progress, and my battery did not trigger any protection.
The figure below is the GPC report returned from TI's official website. The attachment is my fuel gauge configuration table.
Please help us to see what are the possible causes of this abnormality. Thank you. bq4050.xlsx

  • Hello User,

This error message means your cell behavior under low temp and room temp/high temp is too high and may cause errors with the fit. Can you check your passed charge between low temp and high temp? If they are greater than 5%, check your connections and re-run the test to see if you reduce the error.

Otherwise, use these parameters and run an accuracy cycle to determine the best performance for the gauge.
