LM5143-Q1: Recommendation for FETs when Vin is automotive 24-V battery

Hi all,

Can you recommend any switching FETs for EVM when converting from 24V automotive battery? Automotive certification such as AEC-Q101 is mandatory. If TI doesn't have one, can you tell me which FETs can be used from other FET vendors?

All the components' recommendations are given in the user guide and recommended fets are certified with AEC-Q101. Please visit the product folder and 'design and development' tab to access the User guide. link

Hi Ankit,

Thank you for your reply. I would like the max voltage tolerance of both FETs to be 60V but the FETs on the EVM are 40-V level. Are you aware of any FETs that can stand with 60V?

Hi Ryo,

We do not have any recommendations. It actually depends on your application and your priorities. I would recommend visiting infeneon website: https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/product/power/mosfet/20v-800v-automotive-mosfet/55v-60v-n-channel-automotive-mosfet/ .

And try to find the fets with characteristics close to the recommended 40V FET.
