Hello,

I am performing the Chem ID cycle for a new battery and the SOC measurement is completely wrong(normal due to the fact the learning cycle has not yet been performed).

When the SOC reach 100% the charging stop and I can't fully charge the battery.

I set RSOC =1 to force SOC at 99% but after some time OC is set to 1 and the charging stop.

I had to reset a few time to decrease the SOC value to be able to fully charge.

Is there a way to disable the SOC measurement to perform the Chem ID logging without any protection?It's time consuming since each time the charging stop I have to restart the logging.

Hello Clement,

You don't need to. Just log with bqStudio on the EVM and refer to GPCCHEM documentation.

Hello Kang,

I don't use the EVM since the max current is 7A and I need more current.

I think the behaviour is the same with the EVM, there is still the need to configure BQstudio and the same problem should happen.

Any ideas?

I do not have your gg file, but I think your FC set is 100%, if this is the case, you can set FC Set to -1 see if the FC bit still set when SOC reaches 100%. it should be caused by CHG FET turns off upon full FC set event.

Hi Steven,

Yes FC is set to 100%.I am not sure to understand, FC setting range is 0 to 100%, how can I set it to -1%.

Hi Kang,

I found a simple way to avoid the charging to stop at 100% SOC.

I just disable,for the chem ID test, the Overcharge protection in Setting/enabled protections C/ OC.
