Can the NC pin connect to ground?
Or is it required to float?

Hi Bryan,
The N/C pin has to be left floating for this device.
Hi Shreyas,
Thank you for the prompt response.
Is this pin connected to circuitry inside the device?
If so, is it a high (>10Meg) or low impedance (<10Meg)?
If high impedance, is device functionality sensitive static charging?
Are there ESD protection structures connected to this pin?
Thanks,
Bryan
Hi Bryan,
The N/C pin is not connected to any device internals. Still, we recommend that this pin is to be left floating.
Shreyas,
I have a rational requirement to ground this pin if it is truly not connected to anything internally. I need to understand the basis of the recommendation to float it.

Bryan,
Leaving the N/C pin floating is considered best practice for this device.
As stated previously, there is no internal connection to this pin.
