Hi everyone,
I was charging 2 batteries 1100mAH with parallel total rating of 2200mAh, the bq25606 charger IC is going to heat.
can i know the problem?
what is maximum rating of batteries to charge with BQ25606?
Please anybody help

Hey Pallati,
There is not enough information to assist just yet.
What are your test conditions?
Input voltage and input current limit of the input source?
Battery voltage? Testing with a read battery or a load?
Charging current setting?
Have you measured the temperature of the IC and the inductor?
How many layers do you have on your board? And how many oz. of copper?
Do you have any waveforms, specifically the SW pin voltage, IBAT current, SYS pin voltage and VBUS pin voltage?
Is there a load on VSYS?
Is there a load on PMID?
Based on your schematic, do you a thermistor connected to the TS pin to GND?
And also based on this schematic, does your board layout push input current through VAC or VBUS? What does the input trace look like?
Keep in mind that this is a 3A capable charger. Beyond that, performance is not characterized.
