BQ24210: BQ24210: operation with no battery present

Part Number: BQ24210

Hi

Designing in a solar charger (single 18650) using BQ24210. According to data sheet Typical Application, leaving V_DPM unconnected will enable Battery Tracking Mode which is optimum.  Downstream components (connected to BAT) have absolute maximum ratings of 5.5V. Linked post reply states that with no battery present maximum output voltage at BAT will be 4.2V (with 400mV ripple). I need to confirm that this applies with V_DPM floating (i.e. in Battery Tracking Mode), so that downstream components are not destroyed if under a fault condition the battery becomes disconnected with the solar cell still putting out a voltage less than (or greater than) the OVP voltage . The solar cell maximum output voltage will always be less than 20V.
