AC/DC AC/AC Power supply design

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28740

Team,

Customer has a requirement for AC-DC power output requirement as below.

Input – Universal AC Input (95VAC -265 VAC 50/60Hz)

Isolated Output 1 – 28VDC/500 mA (Tightly regulated output)

Isolated Output 2 – 5VDC/1000 mA (Tightly regulated output)

Isolated Output 3 – 300VAC (300*1.414 VDC) / 5mA OUTPUT (Acceptable tolerance of +/-5% -10% )

Do you have any recommendation of reference design / solution for same ?

  • Hi Prahlad,

As this is ~21W output power, a flyback would be a good choice. Given your regulation requirement, I would suggest a secondary side regulated flyback such as UCC28740. If the 5V can be stepped down with a buck coming from the 28V, that would also help give you tight regulation for both rails. I did not see a reference close to your design spec unfortunately.

    Best Regards,

    Ben Lough
