Hi,

I would like to know BQ25703A charging full behavior, it seems no terminate current and charging full register, so BQ25703 is always turn on BATFET when enable charging?

Or it can monitor charging done and turn off charger?

If BQ25703A charging full turn off BATFET, what condition will trigger BQ25703 recharge? Maybe VBAT- 100~200mV?

Or need manual monitor battery voltage than set BQ25703 charge again?

Hi Jeff,

BQ25703A can't terminate by itself. But it does implement CC/CV charging profile. Host can monitor battery voltage and charge current , when battery reach charge voltage and charge current falls below 5% of charge current , then host can terminate charge by setting REG0x00[0]=1 or set charge current REG0x14 to zero.

BQ25703A also doesn't support automatic recharge. Basically BQ25703A doesn't support autonomous charging feature.

Got it, But what different between the set REG0x00[0]=1 and set charging current to 0?

Or it same to let BATFET turn off?

Hi Jeff,

Correct, both of these two actions will turn off BATFET to inhibit charge.
