TPS92641: EMI suggestion of TPS92641

Hi team,

My customer is using our TPS92641 for their LED driver.

And, their EMI engineer would like to put a series resistor with CB8 to improve EMI. Would you have any concern about it or any suggestion? Thanks.

    Hello,

    A resistor can be added depending on the value.  If the resistance gets too high two things can possibly happen.  One is boot UVLO will trip causing the upper MOSFET to turn off and wait for a refresh from the bottom MOSFET turning on.  The second is if the upper MOSFET turn on is delayed too much you can end up with shoot through.

    Why do they want to add a resistor in series with CB8 with more more detail than to improve EMI?
