Hi,
I have a question about supervisors for power supplies.
We now use the TPS3305 component, but we are thinking of changing it, because we do not use the Watchdog function that provides the component. In fact, this feature may bother us.
We have seen the TPS3307 component, which is almost the same and does not have the Watchdog function.
But curiously we also noticed the TPS3306 component, which is a bit different but it also has the Watchdog function. Only in the TPS3306 manual it is reported that if the Watgdog pin is not connected, the function is disabled (ignored).
We wondered if this also works for the TPS3305, as the Watchdog function is the same. The TPS3305 manual says nothing, but the doubt came to us, in the sense that maybe even for the TPS3305 the function is disabled when the pin is not connected, but the manual does not say it.
Can you please clarify this doubt?
