Hello ,

I am trying to use BQ76PL455EVM-GUI. I have connected totally six cells to the evaluation board which means now it delivers 21 VDC to the board. Now trying to communicate with GUI but GUI can not locate port. Initially COM selecting window opens. I select related port ( I have only one USB connection in my computer) but then it gives error of unable to locate port.

How can I solve that ?

Hello User,

Please make sure you have right setting for SW2 in EVM.

Please make sure laptop can correctly recognize device in "device manager".

Sometimes you change COM port to a different number in control panel-device manager can also solve this problem in case there is conflict.

I have one board and it is directly connected to the PC. Thusn SW2 is on SINGLE mode as datasheet says. No rpoblem on Device Manager abd COM port ?

What may be the problem?

Hello,

You can change default com port number to a different one in case there is conflict.

Hi Andy,

I have only one USB port in my laptop that works. I connected to it. There is no other USB port.

Hello User,

You didn't catch my means.

Click- control panel, then device manager, then Ports(COM&LPT), then USB serial port, then advanced, then change the com port number.
