LM63615-Q1: About noise performance evaluation

My customer wants to evaluate the noise performance of the LM63615-Q1.

However, there is no LM63615-Q1 EVM but LM63625 EVM.

Does this IC difference affect the radiation noise performance ?

    Hi Koji,

    Pls modify the LM63625EVM external components to be exactly same as the circuit you will test on LM63615 EVM.

    The radiation noise performance should be the same because of same IC package, PCB layout and circuit.

    What does the "circuit" in your text mean ?

    PCB board circuit or IC internal circuit ?

     

    My customers use LM63615-Q1 HTSSOP.

    So the package is the same as the one with EVM.

    When comparing Table.4 and 5 in the data sheet, there is a difference between the coil and the output capacity.

    I confirmed that EVM was equipped with 2.2μH and 22μF*2.

    My customer plan to use 5V at 2.1MHz.

    Tell them to change the coil and output capacitance and measure the noise performance.

    Hi Koji,

    The circuit means customer application circuit design with LM63615.

    Make sure to test EVM at CCM operation mode.  LM63625 and LM63615 have different current threshold for PFM mode operation.
