Hi everyone !

I need some inforrmations of LM5576.

Rating of internal MOSFET:

・ Drain current (DC)
・ Drain current (pulse)
・ Allowable loss
・ Safe operation area graph

I think the above information is necessary for DCDC design.

Would you please let me know if there is any alternative information or design method without this information?

You can download the circuit calculator for LM5576 application design.

You also can simulate the design in Webench, check power loss and IC thermal if meet your requirement, then export the PCB layout design into your CAD software.

I understand that there is no public information on the internal FET, so please use a tool such as a simulator.

I would be glad if you could tell me if there was something again.

Hi Shing,

・ Drain current (DC)----------4.2A typical, 5.1A maximum
・ Drain current (pulse)--------current is monitor and limited cycle by cycle, can't exceed 4.2A typical.
・ Allowable loss---------can be estimated by Theta JA and Tj with Tj<125C, use actual Theta_JA measured on customer board.
・ Safe operation area graph-------N/A
