Hi everyone，

I have a wifi related application(MT7687FN), the maximum current is about 400mA when system starts up, and the average current is about <200mA, the voltage is 3.3v;

Two alkaline batteries connect directly to the board,but when the sysetem starts up it will reset sometimes because of the output power is not enough, so i need a boost convert.

THE 1.5V<Vinput<3.1V, the output=3.3V, and the maximum current is 400mA, average current <200mA;

I want to know whether the TPS610994 is suitable for this application?

Dear user:

May you clarify what's the maximum current you mean? The current of the load or the current you detected in input side?

If the previous one, the TPS610994 can's support startup with 3.3V/400mA load during the startup when Vin is low as 1.5V.

How about TPS61023? It should be much suitable.

Hi，

yes, the maximum current is the peak current of the load when starts up. If the Vin is 2.5v to 3.1v, can this support 3.3v/400mA load?

Dear User:

Can the system disable the load before the converter completed the startup? During the startup, the current limit will be smaller than normal operation. Consider the charge current for the Cout, I afraid it will exceed the current capability.

It's OK if loading after startup with Vin=2.5-3.1V
