The firmware is available by buying a bq78PL116.

It means the firmware had been burnt in bq78pl116,when we purchase the chip.

I means it could used 4sires or 8sires...nsires . Is the same firmware?

I want to used 15sires , 1cell voltage is 3.2v.

bq78PL116 works with 3 to 16 cells. Check voltage range in datasheet. 2.8 is minimum for an odd cell count pack.

2.8V is a deep undervoltage value or only undervoltage value.

2.8V is the lower operating limit for odd series cell applications. This means do not set the CUV to less than 2.8. EUV should be set just below 2.8V, perhaps 2.75V.

Jim,

May be I miss some post, but could you tell me:

if I can simply move from BQ 114S12 to BQ116 (change ship on my PCB, and may be some small capa value as descussed earlier) if I wish to use the same ship on all my BMS design 4S up to 12/16S.

At least which (114/116) will be the best for 4 / 8 series cells of LiFePO4 (low voltage cells) ?
