WEBENCH® Tools/TPS62160: switching frequency at high Vin/Vout rate

Part Number: TPS62160

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Dear sirs.

I`m going to use tps62160 with Vin=12V to supply Vout=1.2V.

In datasheet I read: nominal f(sw)=2.25 MHz, minimum t(on) =80 ns. But, if we calculate (approx) needed t(on) = t(sw)*Vout/Vin = 444*1.2/12 = 44 ns.

WEBENCH for our parameter gives f(sw)=1.54 MHz (lower then nominal), but I can`t find any information in datasheet about sw frequency change.

The converter structure, as it described in datasheet, do not allow so high Vin/Vout rate(10x down), but typical circuits and WEBENCH says "all OK".

Can you clarify, how the converter will work actual ( to fit parameter minimum t(on)=80ns ), or recommend any document describing this?

Thanks
