UCC2897A: How to realize output OVP and OCP?

Hello Dylan,

When the threshold voltage on LINEOV is exceeded the UCC2897A shuts down

When the threshold voltage on CS is is exceeded the UCC2897A shuts down.

That is an introduction to these trip functions.

AS your opinion, Do you mean line voltage OVP can be used to do secondary side output voltage OVP?

Hi Dylan,

No. You cannot use the OVP pin for output OVP.

You will need some other means to measure the output voltage and shutdown the controller in that situation.
