TPS2482: is there a part that i can use to simulate this device in Tina

Hi,

For a costumer i want to make a design which includes the TPS2482. This costumer demands more or less that we provide simulations with our designs. Since there is no TI model available for this device, this is a bit difficult.

A quick search shows that the TPS249X is regarded the same family and these do have simulation models available. Is it ok to use this model?

(in combination with the calculation tools of the TPS2482 ofcourse).

Hi Rob,

Welcome to E2E!

You can use models of TPS2492 for simulation and it is from the same device family. If you are looking for controller with communication, I would suggest to use LM5066 over TPS248x series as LM5066 comes with much more capabilities

Many thanks for your quick reply.

I've been looking at the LM5066(i) as well, but the reason for me to select is the measurement accuracy in the TPS248x.

This will eliminate the need of a separate measuring unit and we are short in space so this can be worth it.

But I will keep your recommendation in mind, as we are in the beginning of the project and specifications always change.
