TPS61021A: Behavior when not supplied but powered on the output

Dear Support,

My customer intend to use our boost with a battery connected on Vin and a 3.3V applied on Vout.

At that time, the boost is put in shutdown with an external signal.

In such a case, when an external voltage is applied on the output, it will duplicate the 3.3V to the input, right?

Are there some limitations or damages that could occur on our boost?

Dear sir，

It is OK to has 3.3V at the output side. This voltage will not appeared at the input side.

Hi Helen,

Does it mean that the body diode of the upper mosfet will not conduct, even if Vout>SW(or Vin)?

Do we confirm that the boost will be able to start up, even if there is a 3.3V on its output?

Yes，the added voltage at the output side can be higher than Vin. It is safe if the maximum added voltage is lower than 4V.
