Hallo e2e,
In my current project I'm using the TPS2121 to switch between a 5V (Ch1) and a 12V (Ch2) power supply. As I'm interested in the amount of current the load is consuming, I connected the ILM pin with the MUCs ADC (STM32) like suggested in the data sheet page 32. The resistor RILM is chosen to be 100k (data sheet p. 13) to set the current limit to 1.2A. (for more detail please check schematic)
During the tests we measured at RILM/ ILM Pin (for all the devices):
at high-Z state -> 0V
at 5V & 0mA -> ~508mV
at 5V & 100mA -> ~518mV
at 5V & 200mA -> ~518mV
1) Why can't we measure any difference between 100mA and 200mA?
2) How is the ideal voltage change at ILM Pin due to current change?
Thanks for your help!
Regards,
Melanie
